It happened in Vairano Patenora, in CasertaThe person responsible for the murder-suicide is a 44-year-old man, who was still alive when help arrived, then died while 118 paramedics were trying to revive him.
The tragedy occurred in the house on Via Greci where the man lived with his 67-year-old mother, who had been suffering from a serious illness for some time and whose condition had recently worsened; this last circumstance - the investigating carabinieri hypothesize - could have driven the man to desperation, provoking the homicidal frenzy.
The 44-year-old was doing odd jobs. A relative who had gone to visit the elderly woman with her son this morning discovered the tragedy; the emergency services and the Carabinieri from the local station and the Capua Company arrived on the scene and began the investigation.
