Nine of the most beautiful historic homes in Campania open their doors to visitors for “in dimora,” a series of free extraordinary openings, guided tours, and exclusive concerts with artists such as Raiz, Flo, Francesco Di Bella, and Dario Sansone.
From December 29, Palazzo d'Angelo in Maddaloni (Caserta), Palazzo Riario Sforza in Naples, Villa Wenner in Pellezzano (Salerno) and Palazzo Mondo in Capodrise (Caserta) will host the first four events of the enhancement project planned and financed by the Campania Region, produced and promoted by Scabec.
A unique opportunity to discover the known and lesser-known treasures of Campania kept in the ancient residences, cultural assets of significant historical-artistic interest and therefore protected by the State, accompanied by the owners who will be able to tell their history and the cultural heritage preserved within them, in a journey that includes tastings and musical performances.
We start on Thursday 29 December from Palazzo d'Angelo, in the historic centre of Maddaloni (Ce), a city full of noble residences and ancient churches that bear witness to the glories of an illustrious past. The Palace, dating back to the mid-400s, has a cellar that was used for the production of wine thanks to the majestic two-screw press from 1564, which can be admired in all its splendor due to its excellent state of conservation. The special guest will be the singer-songwriter Raiz, who will perform as a duo.
On Friday, December 30, the event will stop in Naples at Palazzo Riario Sforza, a building founded in the 1862th century that experienced moments of splendor in the early 3th century, when it was the residence of the Archbishop of Naples Sisto Riario Sforza; today it is home to the Decumani Hotel de Charme. The visit will be enlivened by a musical performance by the singer-songwriter Flo in duo. Built in XNUMX on the municipal land of Pellezzano (Sa) by will of Don Alberto Wenner, whose family was the main promoter of the textile industrial settlements in the Irno Valley, Villa Wenner will host the third appointment of “in dimora” on Tuesday, January XNUMX.
The “soundtrack” of the event will be by Francesco Di Bella, leader of 24 Grana. The last appointment of this first cycle of visits will be held on Wednesday 4 January at Palazzo Mondo, in Capodrise (Ce). Dating back to the second half of the 1723th century, the palace hosts a house-museum dedicated to the painter and poet Domenico Mondo (Capodrise, 1806 – Naples, XNUMX), who lived there and frescoed it. Dario Sansone, frontman of the Neapolitan band Foja, will be the musical guest of the event.

As part of “in dimora”, Scabec is also launching a challenge: from December 29 to January 4, by participating in at least 3 in-home visits, visitors will win the Artecard Box, the Christmas gift from Campania>artecard that contains a special edition dedicated to Campania of the Mercante in Fiera and the Rubik's Cube. The program of visits, which includes the first four meetings during the Christmas holidays, will continue next spring in five other highly prestigious locations: Castello Gesualdo in Avellino, Il Cortile in Cicciano (Naples), Palazzo Tommaselli in Alvignano (Caserta), Torre Volpe in Prignano Cilento, Palazzo Cocozza di Montanara in Piedimonte Casolla (Caserta).
