“There are no miracle solutions, but there is this ferment that we measure by looking at the desire for redemption with commitment of the social cooperatives and in their co-planning on the use and valorization of the confiscated assets”.
This was stated by the Councilor for Security, Legality, Immigration of the Campania Region Mario Morcone during the day held today at the Open Door Library "Annalisa Durante" in the Naples Forcella neighborhood, organized by the Pol.is Foundation of the Campania Region.
Today the Christmas packages were presented with products made by cooperatives and associations that operate on assets confiscated from organized crime, products on display inside La Bottega dei sapori e dei saperi della legalità.
During the event, Pol.is, together with the Campania Coordination of the families of innocent victims of crime, will deliver the Christmas gift to the families of the victims, which this year will be enriched by the contribution offered by Nefrocenter, a company that has always been committed to the social front.
“We are shortly awaiting – adds Morcone – with a certain optimism the ranking of those who have obtained funding from the calls for tenders of the Ministry of the South of the past legislature, Campania will make a good impression because it is the result of a commitment of a desire for redemption that designs a future different from a past from which we distance ourselves even if we remember it.
We are here today, in fact, because the story of Annalisa Durante and many other victims of the Camorra are very important in the memory of days that we do not want to relive."
Nefro Center also participated in the charity day and made a strong contribution: “We have always supported young people in recent years – explains Giovanni Lombardi, member of the board of directors of Nefro Center – in closeness to the voice of the young people of Naples and we have always made a contribution.
This year we are here to put our face next to these people who fight against illegality every day.
We work on 60.000 diabetic patients who come in particular from the poor of the population who do not do prevention and lead Campania to have the highest percentage of diabetic patients in Europe. We need to work on prevention by the state health system”.
