A trap rhythm accompanies a song with jazzy, dilated and warm, chill atmospheres.
The main character is a trumpet, the true protagonist of the song, together with a deep voice that, in spoken word, accompanies the listener into this peculiar story of long-distance love, made of desire and mystery.
Number 1 on the Dutch indie charts of Reverbnation with the album “Miles Away”, Stefano Pesapane returns to the scene with a new song, also this time released by the New York label Bentley Records: “Bella come il sole”.
“Bella come il sole” is the third song in a sort of trilogy, linked to a love story, which began with “Quando non ci sei” and continued with the song “Un solo respiro”.
A versatile drummer, session man for prominent musicians such as Rocky Roberts and Tony Scott, Stefano Pesapane, starting from his grooves behind the skins, moves on to the production of basic EDM songs, but influenced as much by rock as, above all, by jazz; other genres appear, always linked to electronic and dance music, such as the already mentioned trap rhythms of “Bella come il sole”.
“The mood of the songs remains jazzy, even though they use completely synthetic sounds. I listen to a lot of jazz, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Weather Report, Pat Matheny/Lyle Mays, so I think I am necessarily influenced by them; but I also really like Prince, Frank Zappa and Donald Fagen (Steely Dan): his “The Nightfly” is still in my top 5 after more than a quarter of a century”.
Influenced by electronic music, “Bella come il sole” is a song created with the help of digital instruments, through the use of samples and drum loops.
