As part of the checks to combat the illegal disposal of industrial wastewater in the Sarno river and its tributaries, the military personnel from the Carabinieri forestry stations of Roccarainola and Marigliano, in the municipality of poggiomarino, they reported to the public prosecutor's office at the Torre Annunziata court, a 40-year-old owner of a mechanical garage.
During the inspection of the workshop, the military found an illegal management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste for a total of 100 kilos, consisting of parts of uncleaned vehicles, sheaths, two drums containing potentially hazardous used oils.
For this reason the military proceeded to seize the entire business, imposing administrative fines of 9000 euros.
