Investigation and searches in Naples and the province by the Guardia di Finanza on illegal gambling halls and betting.
As part of an articulated investigation activity, soldiers of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples, directed by the Prosecutor of the Republic of North Naples, this morning carried out numerous searches against subjects suspected of belonging, for various reasons, to a criminal association aimed at the abusive exercise of gaming and betting and the laundering of illicitly obtained proceeds.
Specifically, 74 searches were carried out in numerous municipalities in the Campania region with the use of about 200 operational units of the Guardia di Finanza, including dog lovers and specialized "Anti-terrorism and Employment" personnel.
To date, the activities carried out have led to the seizure, among other things, of approximately 170.000 euros in cash, 11 entertainment machines and devices such as "slot machines" that were tampered with and disconnected from the telematic network of the Customs and Monopolies Agency (some of which were equipped with a "double till" to hide the collection), numerous cards used to alter the machines of the type and 2 illegal betting shop stations, connected to prohibited sites within commercial establishments.
