An urgent roundtable with institutions, law enforcement and trade associations to discuss the security emergency in the Giugliano area.
The request comes from representatives of Claai, who have acted as spokespersons for the requests of entrepreneurs and citizens in light of the numerous episodes of petty crime that have affected the municipality north of Naples in recent weeks.
"The territory is in disarray – as demonstrated by the three episodes that occurred in early April with raids and thefts to the detriment of a supermarket, a beauty centre and some garages – but so far the mayor Nicola Pirozzi, to whom we sent two requests (on April 3 and 6) to implement a concrete intervention, has not even responded to us – say Tecla Magliacano and Filomena Lanzaro, respectively president and coordinator of the Naples North Area of Claai – our request is to promote and organize a meeting regarding security in our territory, by virtue of thefts and raids that in recent days have targeted several commercial establishments”.
“Entrepreneurs find themselves operating in a high-risk context – the two representatives of the association continue – therefore we ask to immediately convene a permanent inter-institutional table that monitors our reality and that of the neighboring municipalities, starting from the small and medium-sized enterprises that are among the most harassed by the crime phenomenon".
"As Claai, which represents artisans and small and medium-sized businesses in the Giugliano area, we reiterate our closeness to entrepreneurs and citizens, to whose requests for help we are not deaf. Unlike the municipal administration that does not seem to understand the requests of those who work honestly in the area and only asks to do so safely“, conclude Magliacano and Lanzaro.
