Emergency seizure of over 670 million euros in tax credits deemed to be false. This is the measure carried out, on behalf of the Rome prosecutor's office, by the finance police of the Provincial Command of Brescia, in collaboration with colleagues from the Economic and Financial Police Unit of Rome and numerous other territorial departments of the Corps, as part of an investigation into the correct use of tax credits relating to "bonuses facades" and "eco bonuses".
The investigations, conducted by the Economic and Financial Police Unit of Brescia, have brought to light hypotheses of crimes of fraud and undue collections to the detriment of the State, as well as money laundering, reinvestment in economic activities and self-laundering of illicit proceeds by around twenty people, resident in the provinces of Rome, Bologna, Pistoia, Salerno, Rimini, Verona, Naples, Isernia, Macerata, Avellino, Frosinone and Bolzano.
"The emergency seizure measure - the investigators explain - was necessary to avoid the introduction and circulation, in the legal economic circuit, of fictitious tax credits that could have been unduly offset against tax debts or transferred to third parties. The investigations are continuing, also to identify the involvement of other subjects".
