Five professors at San Carlo who play and entertain.
Second appointment for the Praiano Chambre and Jazz Music. On Monday 29 May at 21.00 at the Congrega del Rosario comes the Cinquetto, a decidedly original group!
The Cinquetto is made up of five orchestra professors from the Teatro S. Carlo, linked by an absolutely unconventional musical complicity. They bring to the stage an imaginative journey that reinterprets passages from the classical tradition, touching romantic and modern composers.
The Cinquetto was composed by the violinists Giuseppe Carotenuto, Salvatore Lombardo, Angelo Casoria and Nicola Marino, and the double bass player Giovanni Stocco. They define themselves as «Five friends who love to play with music», and they dialogue with each other and with the public in a funny and humorous way to carry out a goal that goes very well with the philosophy behind the Praiano festival: to make classical music closer and accessible to all, even non-experts.
The group has made itself known and loved by the general public by successfully participating in broadcasts such as Tú sí que vales and I Soliti Ignoti, but its vocation remains that of live chamber or theater concerts.
During the evening of May 29th the maestros will perform music by JSBach, G.Rossini, LvBeethoven, G.Bizet and WAMozart, in a scenic performance that also aims to entertain. As? Find out with us!
The Praiano Chambre and Jazz Music festival is organized by the homonymous association with the patronage of the Municipality of Praiano, and enjoys the artistic direction of Maestro Carmine Laino, first double bass of the San Carlo Theater Orchestra in Naples.
