Assunta, the 7-year-old girl hit in the head last May 23 by a bullet after two young gunmen fired at least ten shots at a bar in Sant'Anastasia, was discharged.
The little girl, who lives with her family in the nearby Pollena Trocchia, and had immediately undergone surgery, was outside the bar eating ice cream with her family. With her were her 43-year-old father, who had suffered minor injuries to his hand, and her 35-year-old mother, who had suffered injuries to her abdomen.
While the 7-year-old brother remained unharmed because at the time of the shots he was inside the bar, where a children's party was taking place, with an aunt. The two perpetrators of the shots, the 19-year-old Emanuel Civita already with a criminal record and 17-year-old Giuseppe, son of an affiliate of the D'Avino clan from Somma Vesuviana, killed a dozen years ago, have been in prison for a week.
