One person died and 14 others were injured in a road accident that occurred around 4 am on the A16 Naples – Canosa motorway, in the territory of Vallesaccarda, in the direction of Naples.
A bus with on board 38 passengers and two drivers ended up in a ditch and overturned after hitting 5 cars. The firefighters were on site Cellino and of the detachment of haversack who recovered the injured and transferred them aboard various ambulances to the nearest hospitals. At the moment the motorway section is closed to allow rescue operations, including with an air ambulance.
They are trying to lift the tourist bus with a crane to check that no other people are involved. The traffic police are carrying out surveys to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident. All vehicles are under seizure and the officers are questioning some of the drivers involved.
