Azzurrini victorious in the quarterfinals of the Under 20 World Cup. The Italian team, at the Estadio de San Juan del Bicentenario, in Argentina, beat Colombia by 3 to 1.
Leading 2-0 in the first half thanks to goals from Casadei to the ninth and of Baldanzi in the 38th minute, the Italian team made it three at the start of the second half with a goal from Stabiese Francesco Pio Esposito tothe 46th with a backheel goal.
Three minutes later it's Colombia, with Torres to close the gap but Carmine Nunziata's Italy manages to control the match without too much difficulty despite a very long recovery and the match ends in the 103rd minute with 4 yellow cards for each team and the Azzurri flying to the semi-final.
Italy will therefore face the winner of the Nigeria-South Korea match in the semi-final. In addition to the Azzurri, Israel has already qualified for the semi-finals, having previously beaten Brazil 3-2 in the same stadium and will play on Sunday against the winner of the match between the United States and Uruguay.
