Last morning, an officer from the Police Station Ponticelli, off duty, while travelling on the provincial road to Cicciano in Camposano, was contacted by telephone by an acquaintance who told him that, shortly before, a man had taken his backpack from the van parked outside a friend's house and that the man had walked away in the direction of Cicciano.
While arriving on the scene, the policeman intercepted a patrol of the Carabinieri of the Cicciano Station asking for assistance; the operators immediately tracked down the suspect in via Provinciale per Cicciano at the intersection with via Francesco Siciliano where he, at the sight of the patrol, attempted to escape but was caught and stopped.
Therefore, a 34-year-old from Nola with a criminal record, including specific ones, was arrested for theft, while the stolen goods were returned to the victim.
