Pro-Russian Hackers Attack Websites of 8 Banks

The group of hacker pro-Russian 'noname057′ launched a cyber attack on 8 Italian banks this morning.

Technical checks are still underway to determine the severity and practical effects of the attack on the functionality of the banks' websites. Damage mitigation is supported by the National Security Agency staff.

Yesterday, however, around 8,30 am, some websites of public transport companies were targeted: Palermo, Siena, Bergamo, Bolzano, Napoli, Cagliari, and those of the Sardinian and Trentino regional transports. The Water Company and the Municipality of Palermo were also under attack. The websites were put out of use or made inaccessible.
