Smarriscono una macchina fotografica, un lavoratore dell’Azienda Napoletana di Mobilità (ANM) launches the SOS and the camera is found in the very busy Toledo station of the subway Napoli, to be clear, the one defined as the most beautiful in Europe by the Daily Telegraph and CNN.
It's a story with a happy ending that was told on Facebook by Adolfo Vallini, dependent and trade unionist of the Neapolitan transport company. With that camera the couple of visitors from Pisa had immortalised the salient moments of the holiday in the shadow of Vesuvius.
Seized by despair, they turned, says Vallini, “to the staff at the ANM station where they were, who promptly contacted their colleagues at the nearby Toledo station asking them to check whether the camera was still there.”
A real treasure hunt begins which ends successfully: the camera is found where the two tourists had forgotten it, despite, Vallini underlines, “of prejudices and clichés regarding Naples and Neapolitans”.
The great joy and emotion of the Pisan tourists
“I can't tell you how happy and emotional the two tourists were,” says the ANM employee, “when they arrived near the Toledo agents' desk and regained possession of their camera: 'How can we get out of this obligation? Do you want a coffee… a spritz?'”, they asked.
“Just tell us about the immense heart of the Neapolitans, – ANM employees responded satisfied – of the helpfulness of transport workers and how beautiful our city is.”
