IThe public prosecutor of Tempio Pausania has filed a request for archiving of the case regarding the crash of a motorboat against the rocks of Isola delle Bisce, in the La Maddalena archipelago.
Accident occurred on the evening of December 6, 2022, in which Tommy Di Chello, owner of a gardening company in Golfo Aranci, and Giacomo Bot, from Naples, lost their lives.
The newspaper L'Unione Sarda reports. The two were on board the Fisherman boat in the company of two friends, Carlo Nieddu from Golfo Aranci and Remo Bruno, originally from Campania, who were injured in the collision, and were returning to the port of Golfo Aranci after a fishing trip in Corsica.
From the investigations conducted by the Coast Guard of La Maddalena it would seem that the boat was driven by Bot who did not see the rocks near the island of Bisce, ending up on them; the impact was very violent and the four friends were thrown into the sea. The two victims, including Bot himself, died instantly.
Attempts to revive him and Tommy Di Chello were in vain, while Carlo Nieddu and Remo Brumo suffered serious injuries and were hospitalized in a state of shock. The Tempio Pausania Prosecutor's Office seized the motorboat, which had a large tear in the keel, and opened an investigation file to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.
