There will be over 1000 children in the Campania who will meet on Monday 6th November Pope Francesco in Rome, in the Paul VI Hall in the Vatican, on the occasion of Children Meet the Pope. Over 7 children from 84 countries will take part in the event. The FS Group, through Trenitalia and Busitalia – both companies of the Passenger Hub – will be the main carrier of the event: 8 special trains (with approximately 4000 children) and 30 special buses (with 1450 children) that will accompany the very young protagonists of the day towards the meeting with the Holy Father.
The children of Campania will arrive in Rome on board four Trenitalia trains: the first High Speed train will leave at 7.22 from Lamezia Terme Centrale, with an intermediate stop in Napoli Centrale at 10.48; subsequently, from Salerno station a High Speed train will depart first at 8.25, stopping at Napoli Centrale at 9, then an Intercity train at 9.50 and, finally, another Intercity train at 10.24, this last one with an intermediate stop at Napoli Centrale at 10.58.
“The day will be a wave of peace, a smile of peace. A special moment in which children will be at the center – declared Father Enzo Fortunato, coordinator of the event – but also an opportunity for all adults to grow, to rediscover the importance of purity, innocence and love that only the little ones can bring into the world. It will be an event dedicated to nourishing hope and building a better future for all of us through the inspiration that children can offer”.
