WE – Nuova Orchestra Italiana, created by Renzo Arbore 30 years ago, which has conquered audiences all over the world with tours that have taken it around the world, from New York to Buenos Aires, from London to Paris, passing through Tokyo, Moscow, Rio de Janeiro, Toronto, Montreal, Caracas, Sydney, Melbourne, Shanghai and Beijing, announces its return to the stage with the show “Napoli, tre punti ea capo”, which will debut at the Teatro Augusteo in Naples, piazzetta Duca D'Aosta 263, from 24 November to 3 December.
The show, produced by Gianni Oliviero's MusicaeManagement and Gestioni attività teatrali srl – Teatro Augusteo, with the aim of bringing live an extract of the boundless Neapolitan musical tradition, to let fans listen to it again and to let a young audience listen to and discover it, is one of the projects included in the broad and heterogeneous program of activities of Naples City of Music.
“There is a great name behind the brilliant creation of the Orchestra Italiana, Renzo Arbore, an immense character who, like his other colleagues, has brought Neapolitan song around the world and Napoli Città Musica, which among its objectives has that of preserving and disseminating the enormous musical heritage of the territory, cannot but welcome this project with great favor in its program of activities”, declares Ferdinando Tozzi, delegate of the Mayor of Naples for the music and audiovisual industry.
On stage we find the passionate singing of Gianni Conte, the seductive voice of Barbara Buonaiuto, the vocal and rhythmic virtuosity of Giovanni Imparato, the orchestral direction, the piano and the voice of Massimo Volpe, the guitars and the voices of Giordano Esposito, Michele Montefusco, Marco Manusso, Nicola Cantatore, the percussions and the voice of Peppe Sannino, the drums and the voice of Roberto Ciscognetti, the bass and the voice of Massimo Cecchetti, the poignant and festive mandolins and the voices of Raffaele La Ragione, Salvatore Esposito and Salvatore della Vecchia. To complete the cast, on the occasion of the Neapolitan debut, the extraordinary participation of one of the most beloved Neapolitan actors: the histrionic Gino Rivieccio.
