On Wednesday 29 November, at 18 pm, at the premises of the Antinoo Arcigay association in Naples, in vico San Geronimo, the Antinoo d'Oro 2022 will be awarded to Enzo Moscato, intellectual, poet and man of the theatre.
The award, given by the association's board of directors, aims to highlight the significant contribution of personalities from the world of culture, politics or civil society to the values of integration, the fight against stereotypes and the protection of human rights.
In the past, the Golden Antinous has been awarded to figures such as the partisan Antonio Amoretti, the mayor Luigi de Magistris, Prof. Paolo Valerio, the Pascale Hospital in Naples, the Stonewall Inn in New York and the Consul Colombia Barrosse.
The motivation behind the attribution of the Antinoo d'Oro 2022 to Enzo Moscato was outlined by the Board of Directors of the Antinoo Arcigay Napoli Association, which recognized the authentic and coherent interpretation of the lively city of Naples.
Moscato has been praised for having recounted the composite and multifaceted imagery of a Naples that is now syncretic and inclusive, now violent and dark, always rich in authentic humanity and resistant to every convention of bourgeois conformism.
