Yesterday evening, the officers of the Vasto-Arenaccia Police Station, during the territorial control service, while passing through National Square a Napoli they noticed a person who, after giving money to a person on a scooter, waited for the latter to take something from his jacket pocket.
The police intervened before the criminal process could be concluded, stopping both of them and, in particular, they found the driver of the scooter in possession of 2 bags of marijuana weighing approximately 7 grams and 120 euros. Furthermore, since there was good reason to believe that there could be further elements in relation to the facts for which they were proceeding, the officers extended the control activity to the defendant's home where they found 5 bags of the same substance weighing approximately 450 grams in total, 5 bags of hashish weighing approximately 30 grams, various material for packaging the drug and 1580 euros.
Furthermore, the police discovered that in the storage room of the apartment a greenhouse had been set up with ventilation and reflecting lamps in which 3 marijuana plants of about 70 cm in height were found. For these reasons, the suspect, a 34-year-old Neapolitan with a police record, even specific, was arrested for cultivation and illegal possession of narcotic substances.
