More than twenty years have passed since then and today, at 50 years old (she was born in Naples on 16 December 1973), the actress has become a star thanks to a career made up of successful roles and a successful series that saw her as the absolute protagonist for the first time such as “Le indagini di Lolita Lobosco”.
Ranieri, who should have been a lawyer or a magistrate given her law studies, which she interrupted to devote herself to acting, began her career in the theater, then landed in the cinema with the film “The Prince and the Pirate” by Leonardo Pieraccioni (2001). Two years later she also arrived on TV, with the Rai1 miniseries “Maria Goretti”, where she plays the mother of the very young saint.
In 2005 she played Maria Callas in the Canale 5 series “Callas e Onassis”, while in 2008 she was in the cast of “'O professore” with Sergio Castellitto. In 2015 she played Luisa Spagnoli in the homonymous fiction dedicated to the great stylist, and in 2019 she was the protagonist (with Francesco Arca) of the fiction “La vita promessa”.
In 2021, the role that definitively consecrates her to the general public arrives: that of vice-questor Lolita Lobosco, protagonist of the TV series based on the novels by Gabriella Genisi. Ranieri is perfect in the role of the strong and determined woman, but also sensitive and romantic, who investigates the crime cases in Bari.
His career is full of successes
Ranieri's career is studded with successes, both in cinema and on television. She is a versatile actress, capable of playing dramatic and brilliant roles. Her talent has also been recognized by the public and critics, who have awarded her with numerous awards, including the David di Donatello for best leading actress for “E' stata la mano di Dio” by Paolo Sorrentino (2021).
