The daughter of the woman found dead today in an advanced state of decomposition inside a trunk in the bedroom on the tenth floor of one of the Cirio buildings was interviewed for several hours. Mondragone.
The woman, Concetta Infante, originally from Portici, a 77-year-old pensioner, lived with her daughter. It is believed that her body remained closed for about a month and a half in the trunk of the bedroom. The property on Via Razzino was seized and the body of the elderly woman, in an advanced state of decomposition, was transferred to the Forensic Medicine department of the Caserta hospital for an autopsy. The macabre discovery was made by one of the pensioner's daughters, who did not live with her mother, who instead shared the apartment on Via Razzini with another daughter of hers, found by the Carabinieri in the home.
The two sisters were questioned for hours by the Carabinieri along with other members of the family. The body was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Caserta for an autopsy, the results of which will shed light on the causes of death. Not only that. The results of the examination will also be compared with the statements made by the family members acquired by the military and on which the utmost confidentiality is being maintained at the moment.
Investigating the macabre discovery, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, are the Carabinieri of the territorial department of Mondragone whose investigations aim to discover whether the death of the 77-year-old was caused by homicide or natural causes. At the moment the alleged crime is concealment of a corpse.
The investigators have ordered the seizure of the property located in the area of the former Cirio buildings in Mondragone. In the house there could be elements and documents that could be useful in solving the mystery. No leads are excluded. Not even, among others, that they wanted to hide the body on purpose in order not to lose economic benefits linked to the existence of the woman.
