The lifeless body of a 77-year-old woman was found in a house in Mondragone, in the province of Caserta.
The discovery was made by the victim's daughter, who alerted the emergency services.ADVERTISING
The victim was in fact inside a trunk in the bedroom. The police intervened on site police of the local company, who have started the investigations of the case. The body was transported to the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the Caserta hospital for the autopsy, which will establish the causes of death.
From initial investigations, it appears that the woman had been dead for several weeks. The body, in fact, was in an advanced state of decomposition.
The Carabinieri are investigating to establish the causes of death and any third-party responsibilities.
