NAPLES – Checks on the stability of buildings in the area continue without stopping Campi Flegrei, with firefighters busy day and night with checks.
According to data provided by the prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, the total number of operations carried out has reached 670, while another 330 are still pending, for a total of 1.000 operations since March 13.
Evictions: 142 families evacuated
The eviction orders involved 142 families, for a total of 340 people in the municipalities of Naples, Pozzuoli and Bacoli. Of these, 55 were hosted in hotels affiliated with the Campania Region, while the others found independent accommodation.
During the night, 17 displaced people spent the night in the headquarters in Via Acate, while 41 were welcomed at the Palatrincone in Monterusciello and seven found shelter in Bacoli, in Viale Olimpico.
Verification and assistance operations will continue in the coming days to ensure the safety of the population in the areas affected by the seismic swarm.
