Caserta – Another robbery has taken place at a gas station along the Asse Mediano , in the heart of the province of Caserta. The suspect is the same bandit who, in recent months, has sown panic among gas station owners in the area.
The modus operandi: face covered and gun in hand
The latest robbery took place in Carinaro , in broad daylight, using a similar pattern to previous attacks. A man, his face covered by a wool hat and scarf, got out of an unlicensed Fiat Panda , while an accomplice waited behind the wheel with the engine running, ready to flee.
The robber threatened the gas station employee, pointing a gun at his face, and forced him to hand over the takings. Then, with the loot in his hand, he fled.
A script already seen on February 19th in Succivo , when the same individual – according to video surveillance footage – had robbed another petrol station with the same strategy: same car, same clothing, same aggressive attitude.
The appeal to the institutions: "It must be stopped before it is too late"
The incident came to the attention of the Green-Left Alliance MP , Francesco Emilio Borrelli , to whom some residents reported the possible serial nature of the attacks. "He had already struck in Carinaro on March 20th. Same car without license plates, same shoes," some witnesses reported.
Borrelli called for immediate law enforcement action: "We need to determine whether this is the same robber who is spreading terror in the Caserta area. He's armed and dangerous, and he must be stopped as soon as possible. Too many criminals are walking around armed and ready for anything: the state must intervene with greater force in the area." The alert is high, while the hunt for the serial robber continues.
