Castellammare di Stabia is preparing to host a cultural event of great importance: Alessandro Cecchi Paone will present his latest book, “Raimondo di Sangro, Principe di Sansevero“.

Castellammare, violent serial pickpocket arrested
A 30-year-old man from Castellammare di Stabia has been arrested on serious suspicion of snatching, robbery, and assault. He was arrested by Carabinieri officers from the local unit following an investigation that reconstructed a series of incidents that occurred between October and November 2024. According to the findings, including investigations by the local police station, the man allegedly committed four snatching thefts and one robbery, all targeting women, in just two months. In one case, while fleeing on a scooter, he also allegedly struck a sixth victim, injuring her. The investigation was supported by the analysis of video surveillance footage from the nearby crime scenes and by the victims' complaints. After serious evidence was gathered, the 30-year-old was arrested by order of the Torre Annunziata Prosecutor's Office and, following the completion of formal procedures, transferred to the Naples Poggioreale prison.
