NAPLES – Two men, one 38 years old originally from Benevento and a 33 year old Neapolitan, both with police records, were arrested by the Naples State Police on charges of illegal possession of narcotic substances in competition.
The operation was triggered during a territorial control carried out by the agents of the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue in San Cosmo Street Outside Porta Nolana. The police noticed a suspicious scene: a woman approached the 38enne, handing him a banknote. The man then directed her towards the 33enne, who took something from a nearby rolled-up handkerchief and handed it to the woman, who then hastily walked away.
The officers immediately intervened, blocking the two suspects. During the search, the 38-year-old found in possession of a 10 euro note, while the 33 year old had a 20 euro note with him. In the handkerchief from which the substance had been taken, the police found 15 wrappers containing crack, for a total weight of 2,5 grams. For both men, the controller, on charges of dealing of narcotic substances. Investigations are continuing to ascertain any links with other illicit activities in the area.

Reading the article, it seems strange to me how certain situations take place in broad daylight. Yet, there are more and more of these illicit activities going around our city and the police should do more to stop them.
