MIRABELLA ECLANO (AV) – Thieves on the run during the night between the fields of Cerzito: with their faces covered by balaclavas, the criminals were on board two stolen cars shortly before in a house in the area, when they were intercepted by a patrol of the police on night duty.
At the sight of the police, the thieves have abandoned the vehicles and fled on foot in the surrounding countryside, managing to temporarily disappear.
From the first investigations, it was found inside the cars stolen goods from other residential burglaries, an element that could help investigators trace the identity of those responsible. The Carabinieri have started an intense search and investigations are ongoing to track down the fugitives and shed light on a possible gang specializing in home burglaries.
