Naples – He had escaped from arrest and, at the sight of the police, he attempted to escape, attacking the officers.
Un 26 year old of Cuban origin was arrested yesterday evening in Mancini Square on charges of escape, personal injury and resistance to a public official. The young man was also reported for illegal entry and stay on Italian territory and for false attestations of personal identity.
The operation was conducted by the Kite ofGeneral Prevention and Public Relief Office, who, during a check, stopped acar with two men on board. While the driver was found to be in order, the passenger showed signs of nervousness and provided false personal details, claiming not to have any documents with him.
Suspicious, the officers decided to take him to the police station for investigations, but the man reacted violently, trying to escape and throwing himself against the policemen. After a fight, also thanks to the intervention of other crews, he was stopped.
Further investigations revealed the reason for his escape: the 26-year-old was already subjected to house arrest for property crimes. For this reason he was arrested again and placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
