ROME – Mark Antony Samson, the 23-year-old Filipino arrested for the murder of Ilaria Sula, the Roman student who disappeared on March 25, has confessed to the crime.

During the interrogation at the police station, the young man admitted his responsibilities and indicated to the investigators the place where he had hidden the body: a cliff in the Poli area, in the Metropolitan City of RomeAccording to the reconstruction, after having closed the body in a suitcase, he loaded it into his car and then abandoned it in the wooded area.

The investigation continues to find the victim's cell phone, which the 23-year-old allegedly threw into a manhole in Rome. Investigators hypothesize that he used it for days, after the girl's disappearance, to simulate online activity and mislead the search.
