A prestigious event enriches the program of Baff 2025, with the recognition of the actress Marianna Fontana, who will be awarded the special ForeverUnique prize for talent of the year. The award ceremony will be held on Friday at Tavolo Unico, official partner of the event, in an exclusive meeting reserved for invitations.
Article Key Points
Recognition of talent
“We have always admired the talent of Marianna Fontana, who BAFF awarded in 2017 together with her sister Angela, for Indivisibili”, declared the artistic director Giulio Sangiorgio. "Today, 8 years later, it seems right to underline her growth and reiterate our esteem and amazement towards her with this award dedicated to the work in the cinematographic field that has struck us most during this last year. And so we reward Marianna Fontana for Luce, the second film by Silvia Luzi and Luca Bellino, but in reality the work of at least three authors: the directorial gesture of the directors is as marked, structured, radical as that of Fontana as an actress, who worked for a long time in a factory to prepare for the film, hired together with the female workers who are the protagonists of the film, and who then during the shooting took the film with her, continuously hand to hand with the camera, managing to hide in the shadows and gradually reveal to the light the ghosts of her character".
A career on the rise
Marianna Fontana co-starred with her sister Angela in the film Indivisibili (2016) by Edoardo De Angelis, for which they were both nominated for the David di Donatello and the Golden Globe. Her filmography includes successes such as Capri – Revolution (2018) by Mario Martone, and she was part of the cast of the television series Romulus (2020-2022), created by Matteo Rovere. She worked under the direction of Sergio Rubini in I fratelli De Filippo (2021), Marco D'Amore in Napoli magica (2022) and Claudio Bisio in L'ultima volta che siamo stati bambini (2023).
Upcoming projects
In 2024, viewers will be able to see her on the big screen in La seconda vita by Vito Palmieri and Criature by Céciel Allegra. Meanwhile, Luce, directed by Silvia Luzi and Luca Bellino, represents her latest work, further emphasizing her extraordinary artistic talent. The BA Film Festival, under the direction of Giulio Sangiorgio, is organized by the BA Film Factory association in collaboration with the Municipality of Busto Arsizio and with the support of the Michelangelo Antonioni Film Institute.

The event seems very interesting, but I wonder if there will be other recognitions for other artists in the future. Marianna Fontana is certainly talented, but there are also other actors who deserve attention. This festival can give visibility.
