“I Wanted to Be a Tough Guy”: An Album That Dominates the Charts
The success of the tours follows the release of “Volevo essere un duro”, Corsi’s fourth studio album, released digitally on March 21 and available in physical formats (vinyl and CD) from April 4. The album, published by Sugar Music, debuted at number six on Spotify’s Top Album Debut Global over the weekend of March 21-23. Consisting of nine tracks written with Tommaso Ottomano and produced together with Antonio “Cuper” Cupertino, the album explores themes such as childhood, friendship and love, with characters such as Francis Delacroix, Rocco and the King of rave. Among the songs, “Tu sei il mattino”, “Nel cuore della notte” and the title track stand out, certified gold and winner of the “Mia Martini” Critics’ Award at Sanremo 2025. Corsi describes the project as follows: “'Volevo essere un duro' was born crawling on the sidewalks, looking for memories that weren’t mine and new horizons. It’s an album of change, with clear and direct lyrics”.
Eurovision 2025: Lucio Corsi to represent Italy
2025 also marks an international milestone: Corsi will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, from May 13 to 17. After his second place and recognition at Sanremo, the singer-songwriter is ready to bring his unique style—a mix of auteur rock, folk, and surreal poetry—to the European stage.
An unstoppable artist
With an agenda that combines sold out clubs, summer festivals and a viral record, Lucio Corsi establishes himself as one of the most original voices on the Italian music scene. Radio Deejay and Radio Capital will accompany the tour as official partners, while the public waits to see him live again, among grotesque atmospheres and unforgettable melodies.
