Sergio Rubini will be the president of the feature film jury of the 24th edition of the Villammare Festival Film&Friends, scheduled from 22 to 29 August 2025. “It will be up to the actor and director of films such as Il Viaggio della Sposa, I fratelli De Filippo and the recent TV hit 'Leopardi- Il Poeta dell'Infinito', to review the films in competition” and lead the jury in choosing the winner.

The selections are currently open and the competition notices for the new edition have already been published, maintaining the traditional formula of the festival but introducing some innovations.
Short Film Awards
As for the short films, the works will have the chance to win several prizes, thanks to the generosity of the Villammare Festival partners. The Monte Pruno Foundation, for example, is offering 2000 euros for short films shot in the suggestive territory of Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni. This not only helps to raise awareness of these extraordinary locations, but also to promote the talent of emerging filmmakers. Furthermore, the Pietro De Luca Foundation will award 1000 euros to a short film that represents Love in its many facets, in memory of the young Pietro, who passed away prematurely. But it doesn't end there: there will also be a prize for short films that address ecological and environmental issues, in addition to the one that will be decreed by an artistic jury. This year, the festival aims to involve young people more, stimulating their passion for cinema through contemporary languages.
Villammare Film&Reel Festival
Thus Villammare Festival Film&Reel was born, an initiative aimed at young people aged 16 to 30, who will have until May 31st to create their own one-minute cinematic reel to publish on Instagram with the hashtags #cinereels and #villammarefestivalfilm&reel. The works will be evaluated both by the public on social media and by a dedicated jury, in order to assign the final victory. The Villammare Festival Film&Friends is organized by the Association of the same name and is supported by the Campania Region, the Cilento Vallo di Diano Alburni Park and the Municipality of Vibonati, with the collaboration of numerous partners, including Dlivemedia Comunicazione ed eventi, the Pietro De Luca Foundation, Legambiente and the Monte Pruno Foundation.
