Accompanied by the mayor Gaetano Manfredi and from the top of Anm, Cosenza illustrated the plan that could revolutionize city mobility, with the aim of completing it by June 2027.
“We want to build the only subway in the world with a direct connection between these three strategic hubs,” the councilor declared, highlighting the importance of the station Centro Direzionale not only as a transit hub, but also as an interchange point.
“There are huge parking lots here, which have been only partially used so far. Now the citizens of the eastern area of the metropolitan city will be able to leave their cars and reach the center by subway”, he added.
Single cheap ticket for parking and metro Centro Direzionale
To encourage the combined use of parking and the metro, Cosenza has anticipated the introduction of a “single cheap ticket” that integrates parking and public transport, an initiative under study to make the system even more accessible and convenient. A step forward towards an increasingly connected and sustainable Naples.
