The third edition of the NET – Nuove Esistenze Teatrali Festival will take place from April 11 to 13, 2025, at the Scugnizzo Liberato in Naples. The event will offer a program that combines theater, dance, performance, and visual art, creating a multifaceted cultural experience.
Opening Day: “Zodiak Night”
The festival will begin on Friday, April 11, with the day entitled “Zodiak Night.” This theme explores the contemporary challenges between present and future. The opening performance will feature the short theater play “Santi Del Niente” by the emerging Neapolitan company Santi Del Niente, which will tell the story of a generation “clouded by the present.” This will be followed by Carlo Costa’s comic monologue, “Zen and the art of feeling inadequate in everyday life,” which ironically reflects on the topicality of the modern individual. In addition to theater, there will be dance performances by Ariocompany and astrological performances by Margherita Romeo Messeri.
Weekend planning
On Saturday, April 12, street artists will entertain the audience with various performances, including jugglers and living statues. Among the most anticipated moments, the monologue “Positive Love” by Alessio Palumbo sensitively addresses the social issue of HIV. Violetta Latte will present “Me and Medea,” an artistic dialogue on power and redemption. The evening will continue with live music by local artists, creating a festive atmosphere.
Festival Closing: “Eclipse Night”
Sunday, April 13, known as “Eclipse Night,” the festival will culminate with performances by Murga Los Espositos and Banda Basaglia. In the theater, Giulio Pastore’s “Paterfamilias” will explore the father-son relationship, while Benito Martino’s “Albanova” will offer a reflection on the provincial community. The day will also include the restitution of the theater workshop with Riccardo Pisani, inspired by the cosmonaut Gagarin. Throughout the three days, festival visitors will be able to taste food and drinks, as well as explore an exhibition of emerging artists curated by Associazione Antego, which highlights new voices in the art scene. NET – Nuove Esistenze Teatrali Festival aims to be a cultural hub open to all forms of artistic expression and new scenic experimentation.
