From today, April 1st, the new connection timetables between Capri and the mainland have come into force: the number of fast transport lines, jets, hydrofoils and catamarans has increased, for a total of eighteen departures from Capri to Naples and eighteen departures from Naples to Capri.
The tourist season looks promising like last year's, but operators and residents, to avoid the problems of overtourism, are asking for a planning plan that takes into account the spacing of arrivals and departures to avoid overcrowding on the platforms, long lines at bus, taxi and cable car stations and congestion along the provincial roads where public and private transport and goods vehicles pass at any time of the day.

It is a right decision but I hope there is not too much confusion and disorder among tourists and residents. Departures should be more organized because otherwise it only creates stress for everyone.
