Over 70 students from all over Italy, including students from the Federico II, La Sapienza and L'Orientale Universities of Naples, will participate in the twenty-first edition of the “Certame Internazionale Bruniano”, the philosophy competition scheduled for 3 to 5 April in Nola, promoted by the Municipality with the “Giordano Bruno – Parco Letterario” Foundation, the “Giosuè Carducci” High School of Nola and the Department of Human and Social Sciences of the University of Naples “L'Orientale”.
The competitors will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the thought of Giordano Bruno, but also to learn about the places where the philosopher from Nola lived. The “Cena delle Ceneri” is the work that the young scholars of Giordano Bruno will compete with. The work of the aspiring winners of the Certame Internazionale Bruniano will be evaluated by a commission of experts chaired by Mariassunta Picardi, professor of history of philosophy at the Orientale and which includes researchers and professors from, among others, Italian schools and universities such as the University of Rome Tor Vergata, the Liceo Artistico Onofrio Buccini of Marcianise, the Universities of Naples L'Orientale and Federico II and the University of Bergamo.
The students will arrive in Nola on April 3rd while the test will be held on the 4th at the Liceo Carducci where they will be welcomed by the school principal Assunta Compagnone. In the afternoon of the same day, a meeting is scheduled with the theme “Dialogue on Bruno and Nola philosophy in the time of artificial intelligence” which will be attended by the president of the “Giordano Bruno” foundation Sebastiano Maffettone and the theologian Paolo Benanti: the appointment is at 15 pm in the council room named after “Aldo Masullo”. Finally, at 10 am on Saturday, April 5th, the awards ceremony will be held in the hall of the historical archaeological museum of Nola.

The initiative seems interesting and important for the diffusion of philosophy, but I noticed that there is a lot of information that could be clearer, especially regarding the participation methods and the evaluation criteria of the papers.
