Camerota – Two men, a 40-year-old from Naples and a 19-year-old from Benevento, have been reported by the Carabinieri on charges of having defrauded an elderly woman living in Camerota, in the province of Salerno, in recent days.
The soldiers of the Company of Sapri, also thanks to the help of videos from some cameras, they managed to identify and track down the two scammers. The elderly woman, 89 years old, had fallen into the trap of the two men.
After the usual telephone request for money pretending to be a nephew of the woman who lives in Milan, the two scammers showed up at the house and asked for 10 thousand euros in cash and gold objects worth about 20 thousand euros. The investigations continue to try to recover the loot of which there is currently no trace.
