Napoli – “We are not worried about the end of the season, but we are focused and aware of the qualities present in our squad. We compare ourselves by looking each other in the eye, we analyze each game and at the end we will draw conclusions.
We give our all, both in training and on the pitch". Clear and determined words from Cyril Ngonge, striker of Napoli, who spoke exclusively to CRC microphones.
The player recalled the recent victory against Milan, a crucial match played at the Maradona: “It was an important match at our home. We had to attack and immediately show our strength. Being Napoli means starting like this. We prepared well and played it at our best.
Those who came off the bench, like me, tried to give an extra push in the final phase, bringing fresh energy. You could see that we were suffering: Milan attacked with many quality players, like Leao. It wasn't easy, but we got the three points".
However, Ngonge sees room for improvement: “Maybe we should keep calm, especially towards the end. We need to keep following the ball, keep the pressure up without getting too low or letting them play.”
The striker then revealed the behind the scenes of the work with Antonio Conte: “Before his arrival, a former Inter teammate trained by him had warned me that I would not be ready. I didn't believe him, but at the retreat I understood: a month of real hard work, with training sessions never seen in other teams. A sacrifice that transformed us into 'monsters' on the pitch, pushing us beyond our limits to obtain great results”.
Now the attention shifts to the next match, Monday at the Dall'Ara against Bologna: "They are doing very well with Italiano, a coach I appreciate. They play aggressive football and are strong in one-on-one situations.
It will be essential for us to overcome their pressure: if we succeed, we will get to the goal. Be careful not to lose trivial balls, because if they recover them high they can hurt us. We will need maximum concentration when we have possession”.

The article talks about how Napoli is facing the season and the challenges that it presents. I think the player is right, but there are still many things to improve to be competitive. We also have to consider the pressure of the opponents.
