A surreal operation conducted by the Carabinieri in Giugliano in Campania, where a 50-year-old man ended up in handcuffs after calling the emergency number 112 himself.
Article Key Points
The alarm was raised by the 50-year-old himself, who had reported on the phone that he was being threatened, only to then abruptly end the conversation without providing further details or the address.
The rescue machine was activated immediately: the military, through a triangulation of the signal, managed to locate the home and went to the scene to provide assistance. However, once they arrived, the situation took a very unexpected turn.
When the police arrived, the man refused to open the door and barricaded himself in the house. A few moments later, a window opened and an envelope containing 27 grams of cocaine was thrown into the void, ending up right under the eyes of the police.
It immediately became clear that the request for help could be the result of an altered state linked to drug use.
He was a drug dealer in a state of altered state
After a brief attempt at persuasion, the carabinieri managed to convince the man to open the door. Inside the house, the picture became even clearer: other doses of cocaine, cash, precision scales and drug packaging material, typical elements of a real domestic drug dealing square.
The 50-year-old was arrested on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing and taken to prison.
Paradoxically, it was his call to the police that triggered the operation that led to the discovery of theillegal activity. A story with absurd overtones, which ended not with help, but with arrest.
