The Naples Flying Squad, in collaboration with the agents of the Frattamaggiore police station, has arrested a man seriously suspected of illegal possession and carrying of a firearm, with the aggravating circumstance of mafia method and the purpose of facilitating a Camorra-style criminal organization.
The measure was triggered as part of the investigations coordinated by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office. According to an official note, the man allegedly brought with him a 7,65 caliber pistol in a context attributable to organised crime, in particular during an escalation of tensions linked to the ongoing feud between opposing factions who are competing for control of the drug trafficking in the territories of Frattamaggiore, Cardito and surrounding areas.
The episode comes at a delicate time for the northern area of Napoli, the scene of a new phase of conflict between Camorra clans, with clear signs of a renewed military strategy on the territory. Law enforcement continues to closely monitor the evolution of the situation, in an attempt to contain the violent dynamics and protect the safety of citizens.
