Caserta – He had with him doses of cocaine and crack, as well as a sum of cash. A 36-year-old from the province of Naples was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile section of the Company of Caserta, caught in possession of narcotics during a night check.
The episode occurred shortly after midnight on via Doueth, when the military stopped a Lancia Y with three people on board: two men and a woman. The driver, when asked for documents, showed signs of evident nervousness, prompting the carabinieri to proceed with a personal and vehicle search.
In the man's jacket, the officers found a pack of cigarettes containing five heat-sealed sachets with a total of 2,6 grams of cocaine. In his pants pocket, they found 140 euros in cash, possible proceeds of drug dealing. Another pack of cigarettes, hidden in the glove compartment of the car, contained 0,5 grams of crack.
The man was arrested on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing and will be tried under a summary procedure.
Of the other two occupants of the vehicle, only one was found in possession of a small quantity of hashish, which is why he was reported to the Prefecture of Caserta as a drug user.
