Naples – Irregularities in the renovation work of a private home in Baia Due Frati, in the renowned Posillipo area, have sparked an immediate reaction from the authorities.
Workers without adequate safety measures and the dumping of waste materials directly into the sea have been reported to MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli and to councilor Lorenzo Pascucci.
Immediate intervention by the authorities
Following the reports, Borrelli and Pascucci promptly alerted the competent authorities and law enforcement, launching an investigation to ascertain responsibilities and take the necessary measures.
Condemnation and Call for Action
“It is unacceptable that construction work in a marine protected area is carried out in this way,” said Borrelli, MP, and Pascucci, Councilor. “The lack of safety for workers and the pollution of the sea are extremely serious matters.
We ask the authorities to shed full light on this matter and to intervene urgently to protect the environment and the safety of workers".
Investigations underway
The competent authorities have started investigations to verify the regularity of the works and ascertain the responsibilities. Developments are expected in the next few hours.
