Investigations are underway in Cetraro, in the Cosenza area, where a 60-year-old man lost his life following an attack by a wild boar.
The accident occurred on land owned by the victim, a school worker at the local comprehensive school. The magistrate on duty at the Paola Public Prosecutor's Office ordered the seizure of the body, on which an autopsy will be performed shortly.
According to initial reports, the man captured the animal with a homemade trap and, believing it to be harmless, approached to examine it. Unfortunately, the animal reacted aggressively, resulting in the man's death.
The investigations are currently entrusted to the Carabinieri of the Paola Company, under the leadership of Captain Marco Pedullà, who are trying to outline the dynamics of the accident more precisely.

It is very sad that a man died like this in a seemingly harmless situation. It is important to be careful when dealing with wild animals, even if they seem harmless at first glance.
