The first edition of the Napoli Film and Audiovisual Festival (NAFAFE'), dedicated to short films and documentaries, which took place from 10 to 13 March at the Cinema America Hall in Naples, under the artistic direction of Raffaele Riccio, concluded with positive results.

The Festival: between Screenings, Talks and Awards
During the festival, about a thousand spectators attended the screenings of ten works in competition and several others out of competition. Numerous talks with directors, actors and professionals of the sector of national and international fame. Among the participants, the actors Mariano Bruno, Ernesto Lama, Giacomo Rizzo and the actress Yuliya Mayarchuk. The jury, composed of experts in the sector, awarded the prizes in various categories and distributed artistic ceramics made by the social cooperative Nesis. The winning works will be screened in the cinemas of the Run Film cinema circuit.
The Winners
The “First Prize” of the Jury of the Kids was awarded to “Vincenza Birillo”, a short film by Biagio Manna, for its originality and depth. The “Original Short Award” went to “Zona Cesarini” by Simona Cocozza, appreciated for its irony and freshness. The “Technical Jury Award” was awarded to “Fucking Boobs e mani a terra” by Paolo Cipolletta, for its delicate narration and technical quality.
A Collective Success
NAFAFE' has been an important starting point for Naples, demonstrating that the city can be an international cultural and cinematographic hub, capable of promoting emerging talents and authentic stories. According to the Mayor's Delegate for the audiovisual and cinematographic sector, Ferdinando Tozzi, the festival marks a further milestone for Naples, which aims to consolidate its role as a cultural beacon in world cinema. With this first edition, NAFAFE' establishes itself as an unmissable event for cinema and audiovisual enthusiasts, further strengthening the position of Naples in the cultural panorama of the Mediterranean.

It was a very interesting festival and I saw that there were many works in competition. The students of the University of Salerno did a good job in selecting the winners. I hope there will be other editions in the future.
