Villa Literno – A sports center transformed into a base for drug dealing. This is what the Carabinieri of Villa Literno discovered, who, at dawn today, arrested three 27-year-olds from Caserta and reported two other boys to the Prefecture for personal use of narcotics.
The operation was launched after the military, suspicious of the constant coming and going of young people inside the facility - mostly closed to the public - decided to investigate further. The blitz began late yesterday evening, with the support of the canine units of the Carabinieri Nucleus of Sarno.
Drug dealers caught by Neo's nose
The instinct of the drug dog Neo, who helped identify the drugs hidden in the premises used as a bar.
Right there, one of the three arrested was caught while trying to get rid of six plastic packages containing 13 doses of hashish and 38 doses of marijuana.
Subsequent investigations allowed us to reconstruct a well-structured drug dealing activity: one of the young men worked behind the counter, while the other two monitored the room waiting for "orders".
During the raid, two boys present in the facility were found in possession of small quantities of recently purchased narcotic substance and reported to the Prefecture of Caserta as users.
In addition to the drugs, the military seized 290 euros in cash, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.
At the end of the formal procedures, the three arrested were placed under house arrest, pending the decisions of the judicial authorities. The charge for all is possession with intent to distribute narcotics in competition.
