NAPLES – The Naples Police Headquarters continues its relentless efforts to combat drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons: as part of its extraordinary territorial control operations, late yesterday evening the State Police arrested a 26-year-old Neapolitan, already known to law enforcement, for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
The young man was surprised by the officers of the Decumani Police Station in via Lavinaio, near Porta Nolana, while he was selling drugs to a buyer. The police officers observed him as he suspiciously headed towards Vico Rotto al Lavinaio to make the exchange through a ground floor window of a house. After receiving some money, the 26-year-old handed the man a small bag.
The immediate intervention of the agents allowed them to stop the buyer, found in possession of 5 grams of marijuana. Immediately after, the alleged dealer was stopped: 6 grams of the same substance and 75 euros in cash were found on him. The check was then extended to his home, where further evidence was found:
Another bag of marijuana, a precision scale and 1.010 euros in cash, divided into banknotes of various denominations, presumably the result of drug dealing. The 26-year-old was arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities. Control activities will continue in the coming days throughout the city area.

It's incredible how the police can stop these dealers, but there are so many people who continue to do it around. We hope that this operation will bring long-lasting results and that citizens can feel safer.
