Scafati. An unprecedented environmental disaster for the Nocera Sarnese countryside is underway in the police station for the fire of a waste depot located in via Galileo Ferraris on the border between Scafati and Santa Maria la Carità
This is the waste depot, former Helios recently taken over by the company Seneca srl registered to a woman from Torre del Greco but which refers to the brothers Mauro and Corrado Scarlato. Shortly after 13:XNUMX today a large fire broke out and quickly engulfed everything that was in storage.
A tall, dense cloud of black smoke rose into the sky and is visible as far as Naples, as the area in question runs alongside the Naples-Salerno highway.
The citizens who live in the area were forced to stay indoors while others even preferred to abandon their homes. Significant damage was also done to some tomato processing factories located in the area, one is right next door.
