AVELLA – Robbery in the night at a betting centre in Avella, in the province of Avellino. Two robbers, armed with iron clubs and with their faces covered, broke into the commercial establishment located along the Statale 7 Bis, spreading panic.
The criminals forced the only employee present - the center is open 24 hours a day - to hand over the entire takings, then disappeared in a car that was waiting for them outside.
The raid, carried out with speed and precision, lasted a few minutes. According to an initial estimate, the loot would amount to at least 20 thousand euros. The Carabinieri of the Operational Nucleus of the Baiano Company and the Avella Station are investigating the case, having started the search for those responsible and are analyzing every possible lead to trace the identity of the robbers and the vehicle used for the escape.
