Investigations are underway by the police on the death of a 71-year-old woman taken to hospital in Civita Castellana, in the province of Viterbo, by her husband last night at 20pm.
The man reported that his wife had fallen down the stairs in their home in a rural area of Sant'Oreste, a town in the province of Rome. The doctors, having confirmed the death of the elderly woman, sent a report to the military of Civita Castellana who then alerted the Carabinieri of Rignano Flaminio and their colleagues from the Bracciano company who are investigating the case.
The position of the man, who is now in the barracks, is being examined by the judicial authorities of Tivoli. In fact, it is not excluded that it was a violent death. Some objects stained with blood were found in the man's house. At the moment the hypothesis is that of homicide.
